These are a few shots I’ve taken during my trip to Amsterdam, Brussels and Luxembourg last December. There are still more to come, so this post will be updated later.

Anyway, I thought I took a roll of street b/w pics during the travel. And after the film was developed, there wasn’t any!!! It wasn’t under- or overdeveloped, but unexposed!! Darn. I’ve loaded the film wrong. What a waste!

There are a few that I’ve taken with my d70s. But the best ‘were’ on film. And I thought I could share them with you guys. Maybe next time. A lesson learnt.

and last, square cropped..

i borrowed my friends nikon EM a few months ago but haven’t started shooting since i couldn’t find any subjects / people to shoot. last 5th december, i had a party at my house and my friends were very willing to be my test subjects. equipped with the EM, a 50mm f/1,8 and a 28mm f/2,8 lens and 2 rolls of Kodak Tmax 400 films, i didn’t hope much for the outcome since i bought those film on ebay at a very cheap price and they were way beyond their expiry date (March 95). Yeah. more than 10 years.

processed at a local camera store and scanned the negatives un-professionally with an epson 3170 scanner, the outcome was surprising. (ignore the dust and scratches =p )in fact, this was also my 1st time using manual focusing & b/w film, and proud to say, it was not bad at all.. *grins*

since my house is not well lit, most of the shots have only one light source, e.g. table lamp, hallway lamp etc. and these were even shot between 1/60 and 1/30th of a second. mind the blurriness. :-p

overall i really like using the 400 film because of its grain and overall capability in difficult lighting conditions. ive got loads of Ilford Delta 100, and i’m planning to shoot them at 400 and ask the shop to push process it then later. oh well, that’s another story to tell.
